GiAi's uniquely designed variable neutral density filter provides the equivalent brightness range of ND8 to ND2000.
The singular versatility of the Variable ND filter not only replaces a whole set of stacking neutral density filters it also removes vignetting which may be caused by using multiple filters.

The great versatility of the VARIABLE ND8-2000 filter replaces a whole set of neutral density filters from ND8 to ND2000. The filter can greatly save your budget and make you forget about vignetting caused by stacking several ND filters to achieve a desired density.
Without changing the aperture, the VARIABLE ND8-2000 filter provides the freedom to change the shutter speed according to the desired effect. For example, without adjusting the aperture, the same scene can be taken with a wide range of shutter speeds just by rotating the outer filter ring. The problem of diffraction can be eliminated by being able to work with a slow shutter speed.
When using VARIABLE ND8-2000 filter with super fast lenses the shutter speed can be secured within an appropriate level for the sake of a wider aperture. Through this, a beautiful blurred background effect can be created.
Even with a shutter speed of 1/8000 seconds, a large aperture of f/1.4 or f/1.2 can cause overexposure. With the VARIABLE ND8-2000 filter, overexposure issues can be avoided.
For video-enabled cameras, use the VARIABLE ND8-2000 filter as a means to easily adjust light control and shutter speed according to the frame rate setting to achieve that natural and smooth looking motion. The operation workflow can become more effective since there is no need to change different density filters according to the scene conditions. The filter can produce blurred background effects, simulate a night scene or create manual fade in/out effects.
Note: For best results we recommend using a tripod when photographing with slow shutter speeds.
